Time to be liberated!

Am I Really Hungry reinvents dieting!!!!

Has any of this ever happened to you?

Diet makes you feel deprived..
You feel resentful..
You see what you want, but "can't" have..
A stressful day at work..
Frustration makes you feel bottled up..
The man or woman who you have been seeing for the past 3 months, turns out to be a lying, cheating cad..
The children need you - 24/7..
Bills piling up, but you keep buying..
You really need to talk and your cel phone just fell in a puddle..
The diet isn't working..
Life isn't predictable or fair.
You're not alone. Every day, when buttons are pushed, dieter's punish themselves with confused, self-destructive food choices.

Confusion causes self-doubt that comes out as bad decisions.

Intuitive eating keeps you in sync with yourself.

It's never intuitive to be self-destructive.If you know when you're really hungry and what you're hungry for, your 6th sense is absolutely clear about what you need.
When you know how to tune into your body around eating, there's less confusion.
When you learn how to use intuitive tools clear decision making becomes automatic because you know what really matters.
Even kids can do it.

Intuitive eating diffuses your diet hot buttons.

Recognizing what you notice with your senses can make you aware of opportunities in your life in many ways:

- help you lose weight because you are tuning into your body
- cure loneliness because you are connecting with your emotions
- improve business environment because your priorities and values are in perspective

Eating intuitively keeps you clear about your personal boundaries and about protecting yourself in all areas of your life.

Take advantage of what's easy to do. Open your eyes and follow your gut.

When food or diet hit you emotionally, use your intuition to stay in control or your choices.

Instead of feeling manipulated, you will feel liberated.

Food Addiction is Real.

Nobody chooses to be fat.

Have you ever thought you might be addicted to ice cream or to chips? It's possible. Many processed foods are laced with chemicals that make us feel we must eat more than makes common sense.

No one ever binges on apples and they are full of natural sugars.
No one ever binges on celery and it's full of valuable salts.
The reason why people don't binge on these is because when we eat them we can tell when we're full.
The difference between an addiction and a craving is knowing when to stop

Obesity is not a choice. It is a result of not having choices.

In processed meals there are often chemically created sugars, fats and salts that trigger cravings and addiction. These work by confusing your brain so that it ignores messages from your body.

That's why you may feel unable to resist them. The chemicals are messing with your mind and that is bad for your body. That's how cookies, chips, ice cream or soda become an addiction.

You are not alone.

People who cannot get fresh fruits and vegetable where they live are often victim of the chemical trap. If this is you, there are solutions.
Talk about it with friends, neighbors and family. You will discover that you are not alone. Nobody wants to be fat, nobody wants to be unhealthy.

Be willing to try something new to escape the trap of processed meals.
You can order certain healthy snacks in bulk that won't be expensive and divide them between families.

Examples:
Shelled nuts provide abundant healthy protein and can be purchased online in bulk.
Dried fruit that has no additives is full of nutrition and a healthy snack. If you eat dried fruit you must drink more water. The reason why is because fresh fruit is mostly water, so when it's dried it's concentrated.

Enlist your teenagers.

Talk to your kids about chemicals in their food that are controlling their appetites.

Kids don't like the way they feel or look when they're overweight or obese. Let them know that you are going to work together to protect each other.

Teenagers are brilliant on computers. Give your teenagers the job of surfing the web to find out new affordable eating alternatives that make sense for the whole family. Tell them to be creative and trust their intuition to figure out how to help all of you.

Tell them you will eat what they find.
Let them know what they're doing important for all of you!

Every kid who has the time to surf the web, play games, or do e-mails has the skills to find food alternatives for your family. Teenagers, especially, are known for thinking outside of the box. Give them the freedom to take control of dinner 3 nights a week.

Talk to them with respect about the fact that you all need to take control of what enters your bodies because right now, you're all victims of food addiction.
This is about creating the future and they know it.
You can be bold together to beat the chemical trap.

Yale's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity "Food Addiction" Scale

If you identify with any of these you may be addicted to chemicals in your meals.

1. I eat much more than I had planned.
2. Not getting certain types of meals is something I worry about.
3. I keep trying to diet but am unsuccessful.
4. After I eat, I feel sluggish.
5. I have become more socially isolated because of my weight.
6. Even though I know certain snacks are 'bad' for my health, I still eat them.
7. I need increasing amounts to be satisfied.

Be curious. Use your intuition to protect yourself from food addiction.

Am I Really Hungry? gives tools the whole family can use to learn to eat intuitively.Read the book and escape the trap of food addiction.

Healthy Eating and Junk Food

Healthy eating stands for happiness and energy. Happiness is not a constant and it's not rigid. That's why intuitive eaters are flexible with themselves about food choices. It's as important to nourish yourself emotionally as it is to eat well physically.

The secret to keeping your body looking and feeling great is balance. Balance never feels stuffed and always feels comforting. Giving yourself emotional and physical balance when you make eating choices reduces stress.

Junk food often stands for justifying what feels emotionally satisfying. How do you know? Use your intuitive tools know what you're really hungry for.

When you're aware of cues from your body, you also realize the need to nourish yourself emotionally.  If a 'junk food' represents comfort, and you know that and you eat it in moderation, can it be bad for you? Only you know the answer. Listen to your body and check in with common sense.

Use intuitive tools for clarity, instead of eating because you feel confused.

Eat for energy and health- not as an emotional band-aid.

The habit of having a junk food treat in the afternoon because you're stressed is not healthy eating. Instead it's using junk food as a crutch. A crutch is a sign of a problem.

If you notice you need a "pick-up" every afternoon, than try these:
- eat lunch an hour later then usual and make sure it includes protein
- instead of eating a candy bar, if possible leave the room and take a 3 minute walk/stretch to refresh your body.
- drink a glass of water, if you don't 'like' water mix in a small amount of fruit juice for a flavor you find satisfying, but make it at least 2/3 water.

Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not. If you do decide that you'll have that candy bar, eat it slowly by putting it down between bites. Really savor the flavor and notice how your mouth tastes and your stomach feels. Don't feel compelled to finish the whole thing. Why not save 1/2 for another day?

Healthy eating is a state of mind that includes healthy emotions and physical comfort. You deserve that.

Trade Stress for Satisfaction

I am so excited to share what changed my life from feeling trapped to knowing that I'm in control of my choices. It was connecting with my intuition, and you can do it too!

Learning how to recognize intuitive cues from my body helped me trade stress for satisfaction.  Am I Really Hungry will guide you out of the traps of dieting to the life changing satisfaction of self-control.

There are 3 requirements: stop "dieting", tune-in to your body and start trusting your 6th sense.

Intuitive eating frees your mind from trying to control your body. It does this because it's something you sense (like seeing or hearing) not something you think about. That why intuition works by giving you physical cues. Eating is all about our physical being.

Because dieting imposes limits and rules on your body, it creates physical and emotional stress that ultimately you intuitively rebel against, which is why diets ultimately fail. Craving and binging are often a direct result of dieting.

It's much easier to work with your body by responding to it then to work against it by ignoring it.

Hunger is personal.  You have mental, emotional and intuitive needs to nourish along with your physical needs. All of this creates cravings. Until you recognize what you're really hungry for these are easy to confuse.

Intuitive eating is common sense. It includes checking in with your body, mind and emotions and doing exactly what feels right. Learn to connect with your body to keep weight off by recognizing intuitive cues and you won't be manipulated by unhealthy cravings.

Instead of stress you connect with self-control at mealtime and the big reward  is: you like your body and you like yourself! You can feel the relief.

Start now by using the 3minutes rule to get through confusing food cravings to connect with what you really want. It's called "Doing the Intuitive Pause".

            1. Stop yourself from being mentally manipulated.
Ignore the craving by focusing on being kind and patient with yourself for 3 minutes. Tune in to your body's needs and your state of mind. It's intuitive to respect your body by remembering your physical priorities.

            2. Notice your attitude towards yourself.
Don't compromise who you are because you're angry, frustrated, lonely, stressed or bored. Instead, find something besides food to make you feel better.

            3. Use all of your senses to notice what's triggering your appetite.
This includes using common sense to notice what's impacting you outside of your body. Common sense is the intuitive way of being alert.

            4. Decide how you will feel about yourself if you eat what you're craving.
If you won't be happy with yourself an hour later, it's not physical hunger.

            5. If you recognize the food craving is from your body, then enjoy eating it by noticing how satisfied your body feels while you're eating. It's intuitive to enjoy eating. In fact, you get 70% more nutrition from food when you enjoy it!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Weight Gains and Losses

Weight gains and losses are legendary and utterly frustrating to hear about.  We keep asking ourselves, why!? and then we go back to the old habits. We're so busy doing whatever is put in front of us, it's easy to get into ruts.
Sometimes humor is a great way to break old habits.  My daughter told me her shampoo was causing her to gain weight! I was stumped until she said, "The label says, Use for extra volume and body and it was running down my body! No wonder I'm gaining weight!" While I was blinking my eyes trying to take this in, without a beat she continued, "That's why I'm using dish soap in the shower- the label says, Dissolves fat that is difficult to remove!"

Humor, like intuition, takes us out of our ruts with a new perspective and refreshes our thinking. We learn about ourselves. The better you know yourself, the freer you are from weight gains and losses.

This is how intuitive eating works to stop weight swings.  It's easy because using intuition is being plugged into yourself. Your appetite is personal, just like your fingerprints or DNA. Eating is as natural as breathing and as important for your health and energy level. Instead of fighting with your body, you learn to respond to it.
Your body is not a machine and you are not generic.
That’s why only you know your best eating choices
It's intuitive to be loyal to yourself.
Intuitive eating tools keep things in perspective. They make your boundaries and personal priorities an important part of eating choices. You see yourself differently. Learn to eat intuitively and learn about yourself. It's awesome.

It's natural to recognize physical cues you're getting with your 6th sense with intuitive cues, like curiosity and dignity. They are the handrail to grab on, to keep you on track and away from yo-yo weight frustration.

The next time you feel you're slipping and about to yo-yo, think about being loyal to you. Decide to be loyal to your body and in your heart you will feel something. That feeling, created by your loyalty, is your intuition.

Try it.

It's too hot for stress and guilt!

Wow- Summer is half-over but the heat won't let up and there are still weeks ahead of wearing clothes that reveal every unwelcome bulge. The surprise is- only you see flaws. Other people see pleasing curves. We are all our own worse critics.

Did you know that being hard on yourself can make you fat?! That's right, stress and guilt sabotage weight loss. Our bodies are primitive. Energies like stress and guilt feel threatening. When your body's threatened, it holds on to fat.

To be your ideal weight: work with your body, don’t fight it or ignore it.
People who diet have the habit of ignoring their bodies.
So, why not connect with your intuition and get some relief?

Eating based on a book or a program is stressful because it's not about you, your body or your life realities. Rushing to lose weight, forcing yourself to follow a program, or starving yourself all create stress. It's really too hot in August to bring on more heat from stress.

Eating intuitively puts you in sync with your body. You feel comfortable with yourself. It's refreshing. Why not cool off with intuitive eating?

Becoming an intuitive eater is natural; it doesn't create stress.
Everyone can do it because using intuition is being plugged into yourself. Your appetite is personal, just like your fingerprints or DNA.

Eating is as easy as breathing and as important for your health and energy level. If you tried to restrict your breathing the way you control your eating, what would happen?

Diets create stress. Intuitive eating is long term satisfaction.
August is too hot for stress.

People who don't diet and stay a healthy weight are intuitive eaters that have tools to stay in sync with their body goals. These tools demolish hot buttons like stress and guilt that sabotage weight loss.

Nourishing your self is done with food, ideas and emotions. It's all connected inside you. Your senses work with your mind and your body to let you be clear about what is nourishing.

Use your intuition and get rid of dieting for good.

Climate Control #2

Hot Weather means different body needs.

Winter eating habits are for the winter- our needs change with the seasons.

In summer heat your body works harder to keep you comfortable and so it has less energy to digest food. Sure, you can go into air conditioning and eat a heavy meal. But when you leave, you will feel sluggish. That puts a damper on enjoyment and lowers productivity.

I live in NYC and the heat for the past 3 days has been over 100 degrees setting all kinds of records. Heat affects us in so many ways- besides the obvious sweating and discomfort- really hot weather impacts our appetite. We instinctively eat less or lighter foods in hot weather.

This sounds good for losing weight, but the problem is that a lot of us live with air conditioning. When you’re cooled off, a big hot steak, and a piece of heavy cake looks appetizing. Ouch.
Don't be fulled into eating by climate control!
Sharpen your 6th sense in the summer heat by using  intuitive self-defense, called Foresight.
Foresight is looking ahead of the consequences of what you're about to do.
Ask yourself:
How will I feel if I eat this now?
Do I want it?
What can I eat that will help my body be comfortable in this heat?

The more you use foresight the more aware you will be of your intuition.  It's intuitive to stay in sync with our body. Tune in to your summer body.
  • It's stressful to fight with your body and it's painful to ignore it.
    • Be good to your body in the heat.
  • Eat celery. It's full of minerals and natural salts you lose through perspiring.
  • Drink coconut water because it replaces electrolytes.
  • When you're eating in air conditioning use a smaller plate to hold your food and smaller utensils. This is a way to achieve portion control without thinking about it.
Extreme heat also effects us emotionally. Temperatures can shorten, and moods can dip. Emotions that make you eat destructively or want to give up are not intuitive. Intuitively you want the best for your self. That's your intuitive self-defense.

A good summer habit is to sip water while working or relaxing.
Be careful of fruit drinks because they often are as sugary as soda.
What our body wants when we are hot, is water.

If you don’t like the taste of water, then try some of these tricks:
  •  Put about an inch of fruit juice in your glass and fill the rest with water. If it’s available, add ice to help you cool down. Plus, a chilled drink may taste better to you.
  • Keep some herbal/fruity iced tea in the fridge.
    • Many herbal teas have raspberry or other fruits in them. Since it’s hot to make tea, if you have the time, any tea can be made in advance by just placing tea bags in a pitcher of water, and letting it sit in a sunny window for a few hours or overnight. The flavor will automatically seep out of the bag and into the water. Sweeten your tea with fruit juice.
  • A slice of lemon or lime can make a glass of water a drink. Lemon or lime with a few tablespoons of juice mixed with water is very refreshing.
  • Put a half teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water.
    • The vinegar is not as acidic as lemon and it will make your mouth feel clean and refreshed. Plus, may people consider apple cider vinegar to be a health tonic.  Some small studies have hinted that apple cider vinegar could help with several conditions, such as diabetes and obesity.
Use the hot summer months to eat differently and see how your body responds. Trust your instinct to eat light and you will feel lighter.

Notice how you feel and use intuition to protect yourself.  Learn to eat intuitively.

Diet or Eat Intuitively?

Are you ready to let go of the stress of having to think about every thing you eat in terms of calories, portion control or programs?
Are you ready to eat for energy and good health?
If you answered 'yes' to the above questions, you're ready to eat intuitively.
Classic dieting doesn't work. It's a fact that 95% of dieters re-gain their weight. Diets create stress that rolls into all aspects of your life.

Dieting:
  • causes emotional dependency on program structure.
  •  creates dependency on calorie counting.
  • makes you doubt yourself which sabotages self-esteem.
  • claims to know more about your body than you do.
  • sabotages your relationships by creating stress at mealtime.
Intuitive eaters maintain their healthy weight. Eating intuitively is liberating.
Intuitive eating:
  •  is a focus on your how your body feels, what you value, and your personal goals.
  • means you're the expert.
  • brings an open relationship with food and eating that is flexible.
  • has no emotional component so you enjoy eating.
  • can bring new life to your relationships.
When you make the choice to be an intuitive eater, you begin. Yep, it's that easy.
Doing what you really believe takes courage. Making the choice is like turning a corner. The fact is: eating intuitively is a choice.

Intuition helps control of your eating because it keeps you clear about your priorities and your boundaries. That protects you.

Using intuition means, emotions don't rule, you do! When clarity is the foundation of your efforts to be your healthy weight, it happens.

Everything you do takes effort, and every effort you make creates results. Be clear about your eating goals, and you will achieve them.  Make the choice.

“Life is the sum of all your choices.” Albert Camus

How to be an intuitive eater is made clear when you read Am I Really Hungry? The website has answers and the book tells you exactly how to take control of your choices, intuitively.

What are you craving?

July 4th is Independence Day.
It's intuitive to crave freedom.

For intuitive eaters, freedom's not just another word. Freedom is self-control.  It's eating what you want, when you're hungry. No rules, no pressure to eat what you don't like. It's positively relaxing.

It's human to have cravings.

We crave love, sex, chocolate, money, happiness, understanding, affection, good health, companionship or a new pair of shoes. The list is personal. When you have a craving and your eyes look at food, ask your self, Am I really hungry? Most cravings are not for food, they're social.

Eating intuitively puts you in control of your choices. It's trusting and listening to your body. Instead of planning what to eat in advance, intuitive eater's look at food options and ask, Am I really hungry?

If you believe you're craving food, eat protein. People who diet are usually hungry for protein. Fruit and salad won't satisfy you if you need protein. Eat a handful of almonds or walnuts if you're on the run, and your body will relax and the craving will be satisfied. Nuts are a dense protein that take time for your body to metabolize.  When you eat what you need, suddenly there's time and freedom for other cravings to be satisfied- even if it's as simple as craving a good nights sleep.

The 15 Minute Solution is about candy and craving.  It's a method you can trust to know if you're craving is social. Do you want affection or another piece of pie? Take control of your craving and feel some relief from the pressure. Connect with a freedom from cravings.

When you're alone and craving a container of chocolate ice cream, use The 3 Minute Rule, and you'll realize that you know what you want.

When you feel trapped by cravings, it's an uncomfortable gnawing inside. As you practice eating intuitively you'll know yourself better, and free yourself from cravings. When you recognize what's pushing your buttons and use your intuitive tools to keep an open mind, you make choices that bring long-term satisfaction.

When you are in sync with yourself, you always find choices. Ask yourself, Am I really hungry for food? and if you're not sure, give yourself the freedom to say, no.

Take the plunge. Keep an open mind. Tune into yourself and eat intuitively. Nobody craves a ball and chain and restrictive dieting is a ball and chain. Nobody wants to feel trapped and when you don't feel in control of yourself, you feel trapped. Give yourself a chance.

Happy Independence Day from New York City!
Let the golden lights of the fireworks shine a path of eating freedom for you.

Speed-Eating helps you gain weight.

I was sitting next to an overweight man in his 20's who believed it was macho to eat really fast. It isn't. It's self-defeating.  Speed eaters don't taste their food, appreciate their meals or get good nourishment from their food. Speed eaters eat more. This man was convinced it's 'military style' to inhale your food. It's not.

People in the armed forces trust their intuition to stay safe. There's nothing safe or smart about speed-eating.

Intuitive eating means keeping clear about priorities like safety and strength.  When you eat at a moderate rate, you get more nourishment from food and can go longer between meals.

Eating slower lets you connect with your own sensuality which impacts other areas of your life.
It gives your body time to really digest food so that you get energy instead of stuffed.
Eating slower is an intuitive way of controlling your weight because when you eat slower you eat less.

I just got back from a family vacation and meal-time was a big deal. Every meal is a big deal to your body. Your body only relates to food as a means to produce energy and ensure good health. That's why it's right to stop eating before you feel 'filled up'.

Just like you don't fill a coffee cup or bowl of soup to the very top because it will spill or overflow, don't "top off" your stomach when you eat. When you're on vacation and eating with gusto, think of your stomach and slow down. Chew more. Notice how your body feels.

There is a very thin line between healthy eating and over eating. People who eat really fast cross that line every meal. You know you cross the line when you feel bloated, tired, stuffed or general indigestion. Your stomach is designed to be active digesting food you eat. When you stuff it, there's no room for it to work efficiently. You feel bogged down instead of invigorated by your food.

It takes courage to do the right thing. To respect your body instead of stuffing it, is being tuned into your priorities in a safe, smart way. Chew more and you'll eat less.

Your Body is Talking!

Your body is talking to you. Are you listening?
Your body tells you when you're hungry and lets you know when you're not. Body language is a kind of a nudge or an ache. When you're needing to eat it's a push and when you've overeaten it feels like a kick in the gut. When you're not really hungry and you're around food, your body will communicate by feeling shut down. Learning to recognize body language guides you to eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not. Listening to your body will have it and you feeling satisfied and energized!  Here are ways to stay connected with your body when you eat:
First: Be Tolerant of your whole self, body and mind, by acknowledging that you are trying hard to eat smart for your body. Part of being tolerant is forgiving the past and staying in the present.
Hey- the present is the only thing that exists right now!
When you're down on yourself you stress your body which releases hormones that make it hold onto fat!
Listening to your body and being kind to your body  lets it relax and let go of fat!
This is a guarantee- try it! Let me know how it goes- and I'll post your results.
Posts will get a FREE consult with me about how to intuitively connect with your body to lose weight.
Second: Use your senses: see, smell, taste, touch, hear around food. Over eating happens when you don’t notice you're putting food into your body. Body language is loud when you tune-in.
Let your intuition work for you.
Intuition keeps your priorities clear. It frees your mind from trying to control your body so you enjoy eating!
Don’t wait until your body screams at you with gas or bloat pain.  Don’t wait until your body is embarrassing when you put on your bathing suit  or when you’re ready to make love.
Listen to your body.
Be proud of your body by respecting yourself - body, mind and heart. This is how to be kind to yourself.  Eat smart by respecting your self.  Your body will be purring, and you will be happy.

Say a prayer.

Feed your soul  and say good-bye to unwanted weight.

I received an e-mail from a woman I'm coaching to be an intuitive eater. She's started to silently say a prayer of appreciation before every meal and believes it's why her body's feeling healthier and she's losing pounds.

If you're ready to lose weight and stop yo-yo dieting, feed your soul.
Appreciate your food, whether it's humble or fancy. This feeds your soul.

Because you can eat when you feel hungry while others can't,
say Thank You before you eat.
The more you feed your soul, the less your body weighs. It's a fact.

Intuitive eating is feeding your whole self. This shows self-respect for your mind, body, soul and heart. You're an amazing, beautiful and complex person. Appreciating who you are, and what you have, puts you in touch with your intuition. Try it.

If you wonder what you have, start with your 5 senses and be thankful your eyes can read this. You can hear the voice of someone you love, touch the hand of a child, feel the sunlight on your face or groom a pet. Saying a prayer of appreciation is simple and powerful.

The real way to be your healthy weight is to feed yourself differently.
When your treat your body with kindness,  you are feeding your heart love
Appeciate your whole self in the morning when you wake up.
When you eat, ask yourself: What am I hungry for?

You can discover how your intuition works and gain access to health and fitness, and end 'dieting' for good.  Am I Really Hungry?  teaches how to eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not. This book is the foundation of my IntuEating for success programs which I will soon be talking about.

For my loyal blog readers I am making copies available at a discount for a limited time. Contact me  and mention this blog. I will send you a copy of Am I Really Hungry? for 50% off retail price.

with appreciation...

Bad Habits and Intuitive Tools

Bad habits are self-defeating. Use intuitive tools to stay clear about what drives eating choices and blows bad habits away. The purpose of intuition  is to reveal our priorities and boundaries for the best quality of life.

Using intuition to stay healthy makes sense.

Intuitive tools are inborn guides to natural health for you to trust and lean on, like the way you use a handrail to help you up the stairs. When you hold onto the handrail, even if you slip -- you won't fall. Using  intuitive tools is the beginning of shedding bad habits. You won't fall back into the habit of yo-yo dieting.

If you want to lose weight by eating intuitively, but you're not committed to the experience, this means you don't trust yourself. This bad habit is awful. You experience it as a hopeless attitude about yourself and may feel isolated - which is not real. When we fall into the trap of bad habits, we're living in the past.

Dieting creates the bad habit of being tense at mealtime. Intuitive thinking connects you with natural inner strength. Inner strength feels like a calm awareness. Imagine being relaxed when you sit down to eat. That's intuitive eating.

It's intuitive to eat for energy. That's being in sync with your body. Think of energy and strength like a river. When you are in sync with your body, the flow is natural and the current (your intuition) keeps you moving toward your destination. When you fight with or restrict your body, there are blockages or overflowed banks (weight gain).

Take the plunge, connect with your inner voice and trust yourself! Stop fighting with your body; learn to respond to it. Use intuitive tools to lose weight. You won't regret it -- guaranteed.

Start trusting yourself by using your senses to stay in touch with what's real, and you won't be eating because you're lonely. Kick bad habits out of your life by staying on track with intuitive thinking.

Instant Gratification and Diet Hype

  • Change that lasts requires a long-term commitment from you. Instant gratification is a myth.
  • Diets promise we'll lose 5-10 lbs a week and have our ideal body in a month. The truth is: it won't happen.
  • Losing 5-10 lbs by starving yourself now will boomerang and end up around your middle by April.  Aren't you tired of losing and gaining weight?
Believing the myth of instant gratification means ignoring what's real. If something sounds to good to be true, it is too good to be true. If you believe you will get permanent results by ignoring your body, mind and gut - you're being manipulated. That's how you get trapped by dieting. Instead, you can connect with your body.
  • Your body is more efficient than the most advanced super-computer.
  • Your body is always working to heal and create energy.
  • Your body is always a reflection of what you sense.
Long-term weigh loss and real nourishment is  achieved when you're in sync with yourself. Intuitive eating keeps relating to yourself with an open mind. It feels liberating.
  • Make a commitment to yourself. Be determined.
  • Connect with messages from your body and senses at mealtime. Physical needs and food boundaries will become obvious.
  • Go for real gratification.  That will make you feel good.
Don't buy-in to hype about the need to eat what, you don't want ,when you're not hungry, because of a scale or a clock or a book. It's a myth to manipulate you to buy-in to a program. Everyone's body DNA is unique and you need to respond to yours. The answers are very personal & custom tailored what your body needs.

Don't buy-in to media hype about instant gratification.
Since your body is a natural system, it requires time to process change.
Only slow progress endures because you're organic. Trust yourself.
